Recognitions

Through this grant, the Tanner Foundation plans to award up to five $5,000 grants to Charitable (501C3) Organizations that provide ways locally that support our mission to make a positive difference in the lives of women and children

2011 – Peace with Justice is a program through the United Methodist Church witnessesing “to God’s demands for a faithful, just, disarmed and secure world.” In 2010, the Women’s Storybook Project at Westlake United Methodist Church was one of 15 projects internationally to receive this award.

2011 – Active commitment to social justice is a hallmark of Reform Judaism. That commitment inspires Reform congregations across North America to pursue a wide range of activities designed to l’taken et ha’olam, to mend the world. The Fain Awards were established in 1983 to honor those congregations and URJ camps whose work in the area of social justice proves exemplary.

2011 – Women’s Storybook Project will be the recipient of another Governor’s Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award

2011 – Chosen by the McCombs School of Business, UT-Austin, for a website design project to be done by MIS students
