Recognitions

2009 – The Women’s Storybook Project through Westlake United Methodist Church has received award grants through the Juanita Peterson Fund and Action Support Ministries of the Austin District since 2008. These awards are intended to facilitate projects and programs for women and to relieve human suffering.

2006 – Women’s Storybook Project of Texas was chosen by the National Crime Prevention Council as one of the top strategies in the country for faith and restorative justice in their publication, “Faith, Community and Criminal Justice Collaboration”

2005 – Winner of the Epstein Communicate! Award for the best idea for social services in the nation for small Jewish Reform Congregations
