Summer Updates:
WSP was written up on page 7 of Doncaster’s May newsletter. The issue focused on their Partners in Giving recipients and publicized The Tanner Foundation Grant which was given to Women’s Storybook Project “in acknowledgement and appreciation of Judith’s determination to maintain the precious bond between mother and child during the most difficult of times.”
WSP was written up on page 18 in Austin Community Foundations Spring issue of GivingAustin magazine. Read through the wonderful article entitled Love on Tape.
Spring Updates:
Spring Semester
Interns from St. Edward’s University and American Dilemmas Class have helped sort and pack books from the Barnes and Noble Holiday Book Drives. They also volunteered to travel to Gatesville to record mothers reading stories to their children.
Spring Semester
MIS students from the McCombs School of Business have been designing a new “face” for the WSP website.

Eight new volunteers completed training.

Women’s Storybook Project received a Governor’s Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award. This is the second Governor’s Award that WSP has received.
May
Te Irving J. Fain Award will be presented to Women’s Storybook Project and Temple Beth Shalom in Washington, D.C. Wsp was one of seventeen Social Action Programs chosen from over 900 other programs.
