Nancy Botkin was a founding board member for Women’s Storybook Project and has been volunteering since 2003. She has her B.S. in Criminal Justice and is a Retired Senior Warden for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where she was honored with the Best in Texas Award at the Hilltop Unit. Nancy also has served as a Jail Administrator for Bell County. Over the years, Nancy served on the boards of the Coryell Museum & Historical Center, American Red Cross, Central Texas College, and Gatesville School Foundation. She currently serves on the board of the Coryell County American Cancer Society. She is a facilitator for Dr. Steven Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Nancy and her husband, Kyle, have been married for 46 years and have two children, KT and Stacy. They have five grandchildren who range in age from 20 to 8. She is a member of the Mound Cowboy Church. Nancy says that Women’s Storybook Project has given much more to her than she has given. She is grateful to Judith, the board and all the wonderful volunteers for making the program possible.
