Matt Walker joined the WSP board in May of 2024. He is a seasoned software executive, focusing on operations improvement and solution delivery to clients in the government/public sector and healthcare industries. Matt earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management (Northwestern University). He is excited to put his private sector experience to work for various WSP committees, including Finance, Programs, and Technology/Data.
Matt has attended Nonprofit Leadership training sessions through Mission Capital and also co-founded a non-profit organization with his family that focuses on improving recreational facilities in underprivileged neighborhoods.
The Women’s Storybook Project and its mission immediately connected with Matt, as he provided consulting services to the Texas prison system through a project with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice earlier in his career. He loves the connection with children and families, as well as the positive impact on literacy that the WSP programs provide.
