Sarah Ivory

Sarah is an experienced educator, advocate, and community leader with a deep commitment to strengthening families and expanding opportunity for children. She has spent her career in public education as a middle and high school teacher, instructional leader, and mentor to new educators, with a focus on literacy, student growth, and building supportive learning environments. She proudly serves on the board of The Women’s Storybook Project, supporting its mission to connect incarcerated mothers with their children through books and recorded storytelling, and has also previously run for the Austin Independent School District Board of Trustees and served on the board of Ronald McDonald House Friends of the House. Sarah is passionate about literacy, family connection, and ensuring that every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to thrive.
