Meet Communications Intern, Mikaela. She is studying social work at St. Edwards University in Austin. This position helps to “get my feet wet for community outreach and non-profit PR (public relations), which is what I would like to do in the future.”

Mikaela wishes other people knew more about the efficiency and flexibility of providing kids with the books on their wish list and how much our organization and the people in it care about forming a bond between a mother and a child. In her free time, she’s involved with the Women’s Lacrosse team at St. Edward’s University and enjoys “kicking butt on the field with my teammates!”
